Just Something I Did Over the Weekend
While a good number of my friends were off galavanting at the Smart Girls Summit in St. Louis this past weekend, I was at home and staying on call while Congress hashed out the debt ceiling plan. So, while that happened, I decided to get out my guitar and record myself playing one of my (and my wife’s) favorite hymns, Come Thou Fount. It’s a version of the song I put together in the summer of 2002 specifically for her, though we weren’t married, let alone dating, at the time. I just knew she liked the hymn and I liked messing around on my guitar. Thus, this version was crafted. I still love playing it. I hope you enjoy it too.
