ICYMI: My Interview with @DerekWebb
It was my extreme pleasure to break from a normal political podcast that my co-host Susie Moore and I do every week and invite onto the show one of my all time musical influences in singer/songwriter Derek Webb. Derek is someone I have wanted to interview for a long time, but never really had an opening or an opportunity. I do a political podcast not one on music, art or culture (though there could be some changes coming to the show where you hear more of that).
Derek was part of a band, in Caedmon’s Call, that really influenced me, but it was his work in the band that really struck a chord. When he went solo I decided I was going to follow along and what a reward it has been to watch his career, both musically and from the business standpoint with his website NoiseTrade.com (seriously, check this site out!)
Anyway, sit back and listen to this show. I’m very proud of it. Susie and I talk with Derek about the music industry, his influences, the always popular subjects of politics and religion and his feud with Questlove, drummer for the Roots. For more on that, check out the video below the podcast link.
So, sit back and enjoy a really good podcast.
